SING AWAY THOSE BLUES

Loneliness strikes almost everyone at some point in life. I remember when I was living in California. In a land where everyone spoke my language, I didn't know anyone and it made me depressed and incredibly lonely - my first experience of being alone in my life. The one thing that lifted me out of my blues was singing. Now I come to realise that singing is an integral part of my life. Perhaps it could raise your spirits.

Singing Moves A Marketplace

Last month at the central market in Valencia, Spain, opera singers
disguised as shopkeepers were selling produce at the various stalls there.
Suddenly Verdi's La Traviata starts playing over the loudspeakers and they
burst into song. None of the shoppers has a clue what's going on. Sort of like
candid camera but completely charming.
